Hello "Readers,"  I hope you are all ready for a fantastic introduction to some traditional British-made yarn from the heart of North Devon.  This is a feature that I have been looking forward to for some time now.  So lets get started.
I would first like to introduce you to John Arbon himself.
"Textile fibre yarn knit machine enthusiast!
Dedicated to the processing and production of fibre/yarn/textile from British sustainable eco sources.
To this end we have invested (with the aid of grant money) in a new worsted processing plant to service small fibre producing fibres. This venture is the “Combing & Spinning the Hills Project” called Fibre Harvest.
We commission process and spin for farms and aid them in producing products for the market as well as linking specific yarns and fibres to designers, manufacturers and craft users requirements.
Consequently we have an ever growing range of specialist yarns for retail and wholesale.
Far too many fingers in too many pies!"

Alpaca Sock Yarn

Fingering / 4 ply
60% Alpaca, 20% Nylon, 20% Merino
350 yards / 100 grams

" Alpaca sock yarn is a warm and hard-wearing yarn designed for socks, fine knitting and accessories. It has the softness of Alpaca, whilst its nylon content and extra twist give durability."
I love the rustic feel and color of this sock yarn!  It is a 'go-to' for any kind of knitting that you really want to show off patterning/detail or traditional cables.  The alpaca has several great qualities in this sock yarn; warmth for the cold months and the softness and comfort that we have all grown accustom to with this amazing fiber.  John Arbon Textiles offers this particular blend of sock yarn in 6 different color shades.
Charcoal,  Mustard, Rose, Oatmeal, Sapphire, & Moss
This is just one of the many yarns they have to offer. John Arbon Textiles also offers fiber and machined socks.  To get a really good idea of all the amazing yarn, fiber and sock options, you really must take some time and visit the webpage.  I found myself on it for quite some time just admiring and making a wish list a mile long.  I think my favorite machined socks would have to be the
Merino Icelandic Wool Socks, talk about warm and beautiful!!  I am hoping Santa puts a pair in my stocking this year!!!
