Jenny's Yarn and Jewelry

REVIEW (2 of 2)

The second review I have for you today comes in a very tiny form, I'm talking about stitch markers and progress keepers that can double as zipper pulls on project bags.  Jenny is the designer behind these adorable little treasures that I like to think of as jewelry for your knitting.  She is located in Kristianstad, Sweden and has an adorable Etsy shop that she sells her stitch markers from.  Not only does she sell stitch markers and progress keepers, she also sells hand dyed yarn; fiber, hand crafted buttons and some jewelry.  She is a jack of all trades and is great at it.

"I started knitting when I was very young. My maternal grandmother always knitted or crocheted when she had a soaré moment and my mother knitted occasionally also. I then fell in love with cross-stitch polymer clay and didn’t knit for quite a few years. About five years ago I started knitting again and then I found Ravelry and Etsy and was completely hooked. I started dyeing yarn and fiber with food colors for fun two years ago and soon realized that I loved it so much, or rather had yarn enough for a small yarn-store and decided to try to sell some on Etsy. I already had an account since I used to sell polymer clay-beads and jewelry.
I am Swedish and live in the southern part of the country with my husband, daughter and Cavlier King Charles-dog. I work as a high school-principal with newly arrived immigrants and refugees. A very complex, demanding and utterly rewarding task. I love both my day-job and the dye-job"

She has graciously provided two kinds of stitch markers for our review today.  The first is your traditional snag-less stitch markers.  They are in a cute set of 5 that are called "Treat Yourself."
Ice cream cones and other frozen treats make for an adorable way to keep your place in your knitting.  A set with five snag-less stitch markers that will fit up to 6mm/US size 10

The second type of stitch markers that she makes are a set with 6 snag-less stitch markers that will fit up to 5.5 mm/US size 9 and one placeholder.  These are the small markers with a bead on them that really works with any kind of project.  How adorable and practical are her place holders, that can also double as a zipper pull on a project bag.  (Great Idea Jenny)

Did you notice that the clasp on the place holder is in the shape of a heart!!!  Just a small little touch that really sets her stitch markers apart from others.  I just love the delicate detail.  This set is called "Love Cookie"

It's a toss up between the scissors and spectacles stitch markers. Both are cute.
