Hello Readers!! I am so happy to be sharing with you a new dyer,
I'm pleased to introduce you to Angela.
"I’ve been knitting and spinning for years, in 2011 after taking a class on dyeing, I started dyeing yarn and opened an Etsy shop. My operation is VERY small and I usually dye up 2-4 skeins at a time and have no real schedule (life often gets in the way).
Typically I dye just for fun, a lot of my colorways are OOAK (one of a kind) because I am just playing with dye and not concerned about keeping track or recording recipes. I also dye fiber and sometimes have small quantities of other yarn bases in the shop. Essentially if you like what you see, you should grab it while you can :o)
Self-striping colorways are reproducible and typically seasonal. I love to dye up 3 stripe colorways that reflect the current season or holiday. I just finished dyeing up Halloween colorways and will be working on Christmas / Winter soon!
I am a 911 dispatcher full time, live with my hubby and three cats and have a small room in my house dedicated to my obsession with fiber and yarn. And I have started designing knitting patterns, I’m currently working on an infinity cowl. I also host a video knitting podcast."
Now that you have a good idea about out fantastic host of this weeks review, lets get to the yarn goodness.
Illusion
Fingering / 4 ply
400 yards/100 grams
US 1 - 3 or 2.25 - 3.25mm
75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon.
The BOO colorway.
Who does not love a great self striping sock yarn. So many options now for patterns or for just a good old Vanilla Sock. This is a total work horse yarn that can be worn and thrown in the wash. These are some of my favorite kinds of yarns for that very reason, no special care needed.
Her color choices seem so fitting for the colorway name. The pairing of the lavender, lime and dark grey is just perfect.
Angela also has several other bases and yarn weights that she carries in her Etsy Shop, you should really take a look and see what you can find.

I'd like to try the wool/angora base. Sounds very squishy.
