Frankenskein Yarn Co.

Happy Monday Readers!!!  I am thrilled to be reviewing a yarn for you from the UK today.  Erikka is the brains behind the Frankenskein Yarn Co.  She is a mother; dyer, knitter and a blogger.  What more could you want out of an indi yarn owner.
I need to start of by saying I love her website, it is so easy to use and everything you need to find is right in front of you.  We have all used those sites that are so complicated to use it really discourages you from buying anything from them.  Now... On to the yarn!  She carries several yarn bases and weights in her shop and her color sense is so fun, I am sure you will see that in the skein that I am about to share with you.

Silver Twinkle Sock Yarn

(How adorable is this base name!!)
Fingering / 4 ply
 437 yards / 100 grams
US 1 - 3 or 2.25 - 3.25mm
75% Merino / 20% Nylon / 5% Other

[Yes...even my 13 month old daughter felt the need to handle the yarn it was so squishy...she just so happened to do it while I was taking photos.]

So much to love about this sock yarn!  I am a huge fan of tightly spun yarn for the simple reason that it tends to last longer when knit up into socks.  It is quite the challenge to get this twist and manage to have your yarn still feel soft and bouncy and Erikka has no trouble with that.  Her yarn is Snuggle Worthy.  You can see the bits of sparkle really well in some of the closer photos, who does not love a sock or a pair of mittens that have a little glamour to them...we all do.

Her bright and cherry colors leave you endlessly searching for just the right pattern to use for this yarn.  This is one of those skeins that is so pretty in person, you might want to just hold on to it for a while before you knit with it.  Better yet, pick up two skeins and have one to knit with and one to admire in the stash.  Either way, you will be very pleased with any of the Frankenskein yarns you pick up if you do so.

Thanks for sharing this! I have to admit that I didn't want to let this one go. It was such quirky eye candy.
I can't wait to see what you turn it into. :)

That's a cute pudgey hand too! *munches it*

That looks like it would knit up adorably cheerful socks.
