I am so excited to share with you this week 'Readers' about a fantastic Mother & Daughter who share a love for sewing together and have turned the passion that they have into a darling bag shop on Etsy.
Carrie (daughter) told me that she actually learned to sew from her mother when she was young and has loved sewing together from that point on.  Together they sew a variety of project bags; draw string, zippered and even matching notion pouches.  Who would not love the idea of having a bag with a matching notions pouch, so clever.

Recently she has been experimenting with designing her own fabrics through Spoonflower.com and has high hopes of offering new bags with custom made fabrics.   Along side her designing and bag making she has a passion for knitting and blogging.  Her blog; along with shop updates and more, can be found HERE at her site.  She manages to do all this on top of being a stay-at-home mother with 5 kids ranging from ages 12-10 months.  Can we say "Super Mom" award here!!!

I am sure you will agree with me when you see her bags, that you just might find yourself in need of a new summer knitting bag.

Introducing the latest bag shape from Chicken Soup Designs:

Large Wide Mouth Zipper Project Bag

(Wedge Style): with detachable handle! (10" x 12" x 4.25" base)

Carry along your current knitting or accessories in style! Bag is shown packed with 4 cakes of yarn, to indicate size. This wedge-style bag comes with many features, including:

• Fabric is 100% cotton
• Fully lined with coordinating fabric, with no exposed seams and a snagless interior
• 4-ply, topstitched fabric handle with swivel lobster clip that can be attached to both the zipper, or the D-ring on the side of the bag
• Top-stitched to keep the zipper from catching in the seam
• Lightly padded to protect your contents
• Squared-off bottom so that the bag will sit on its own
• Machine washable, iron as needed
• Constructed in a smoke-free, pet-free environment
• Dimensions: Approximately 10” tall by 12” wide (at top), with a 4.25” base.

This is really the "Bag of all Bags," you could not ask for better.  The size is so perfect, small or large projects,  you will travel in style.  It has just the right amount of stiffness to protect your bags from outside elements and the removable handle is the best.

Sewn with such precision and technique, you will have this bag for a lifetime of treasured knitting.  I do have to say how much I appreciate having a designers tag on the bag.  When I knit with others and people comment on my bag, its nice to be able to share who the bag is made by so others may purchase a bag from them as well.  You could not want more from a bag than this!!

I have to say that even if you have several knitting project bags already, my recommendation is that you really must own a Chicken Soup Bag for yourself.

To entice you just a bit more (as if the pictures were not enough) Carrie is offering all of you, "My Readers" a 10% off coupon code!!!!!

Thanks for the Chicken Boots chance. I like "What a Hoot"

I really like the Modern Floral print. As for style, I'd pick the drawstring bag because I've always worried about yarn getting caught in zippers. That said, I've never had a zippered project bag, so if I win I'll be really interested in trying one out and seeing if my fears are justified.

I like her sets and the fox banner is sweet. But her new large wedge is my favorite style.

Love the wedge shape and my favourite is one of the sheep patterns and second choice would be owls. I will be ordering if I don't win one but then I will order still to have more :-)

I like the wedge bag where you get to choose your fabric. She has sheeeeeeep! Only thing I wish is that it had a clip on strap. But still great! Here is the linky!

I like the wide mouth zipper bag, it would be great for a sweater project. The blue, green and brown bag is beautiful.

First pick is the large wide mouth zipper bag in the Forest Playground. All of them are adorable!
